En route to Udaipur we stopped off to see this Jain temple. The temple is breath-taking, every inch of it intricately carved. We were lucky enough to arrive just as the afternoon light was streaming though.

This was one of the hotels we stayed in, a really beautiful, characterful building.

Many of the places we stayed in had these beautiful wall paintings, everywhere you looked. I had wondered how they were done, imagining templates and spray paint but we happened to see this man at work using just a paint brush and paint, not even a ruler.

The main street of Orcha was lined with little stalls selling these cakes, which are bought as offerings to the Gods.
