Arran, Scotland

The field campaign for the Arran project started in October with the construction of one of three 30m masts. The masts are going up on a ridge on the north-east of the island over-looking the sea. Each mast will be bedecked with instruments to measure various properties of the air-flow as it interacts with the ridge and the trees. This is Andy, Cathryn and Jenn putting the finishing touches onto mast number one.

Captured in its final moments and in the perilous hands of Rosey the destroyer. Could it be 'Mast 1' down? God bless the rest!
