Victoria Falls, Zambia

From my diary: "Got to the airstrip- beautiful summers afternoon, smelling of sweet dry grasses. Wicker chairs set out under sunshades, felt very content and peaceful. Was given massive overalls then led to the microlite, I got in, headphones put on my head, microphone adjusted and could then talk to pilot. Then helmet put on and strapped in. Pilot was called Heinrich, S. African. Put my bare feet on ledge things out front then the wind was brought down on top. We reversed out then sped along the runway before taking off- incredibly smooth and up into the air. It was absolutely amazing. So peaceful. Had my bare feet dangling and felt so serene."
